Criminal Appeal
New Trial Affirmed on Appeal
In People v. Gonzalez-Raymundo, James obtained a new-trial order after an evidentiary hearing and successfully defended it in a published Court of Appeals decision.
MCR 6.500 Motion
Three Felony Convictions Vacated
A challenge to a material plea error led to the convictions being set aside. James then negotiated an agreement that the prosecution would not pursue those charges again.
Jury Trial
Not Guilty on All Five Counts
After a four-day trial involving first-degree criminal sexual conduct allegations, the jury found the client not guilty of every charge.
